Stellar story-writing aside, Sunless Sea has grindingly boring gameplay. Such as Hunter's Keep and Mutton Island, which are otherwise unchanging in. In addition to other things like trophies and particularly valuable body. All Discussions Screenshots Artwork Broadcasts Videos News Guides Reviews. Take it to the Curator for a Hunting Trophy and a Captivating Treasure. Violant For this one you will need Violant Ink, only obtainable either from the Empire of Hands or a random event in Khan's Heart. To get it from the Empire of Hands you can trade it.
The terrifying zee of Sunless Sea is full of terrors, both human and inhuman, and all want a piece of your tiny, daring vessel. You can avoid them for a while, but eventually, you'll wind up running afoul of at least one or two nasties. Pick and choose your battles carefully, lest the denizens of the deep eat you whole.Below is a listing of the monsters, enemies, and otherwise generic antagonists of Sunless Sea. Please note that this listing is probably not even close to complete, as I'm, you know, still playing the game. Every enemy on the list has Seek, a passive move that deals Illumination damage, so I haven't bothered to describe what it does.

You'll figure it out pretty quickly on your own anyway. Monsters Auroral MegalopsLife: 5Location: Outskirts of LondonAttacks:- Seek- Lunge - Inflicts Hull damage.- Snatch - Reduces Crew by one.- Submerge - Greatly reduces illumination.- Appalling Cry - Inflicts Terror damage.Rewards:- Butcher it - Reduces Hunger by 20.- Record any Observations - Dissect it - Gain 1 Fragment if successful; nothing happens otherwise. The most basic of enemies. Light it up with some Flares then fire one Salvo to take it down. Auroral Megalopses are good for mitigating Hunger without the use of Supplies while you're still wandering around London.
Angler CrabLife: 100Location: Shepherd IslesAttacks:- Seek- Lunge - Inflicts Hull damage.- Snatch - Reduces Crew by one.- Submerge - Greatly reduces illumination.- Appalling Cry - Inflicts Terror damage.Rewards:- Butcher it - Gain 1 Supplies, and possibly an amount of An Unprepossessing Mass.- Record any Observations - Dissect it - Gain 1 Hunting Trophy, 30 Fragments if successful; gain 1 Hunting Trophy, 10 Fragments if unsuccessful. An upgrade to the most basic of enemies. Angler Crabs are stronger versions of Auroral Megalopses, with greater risks and greater possible rewards. Flush them out with Seek to minimize the chances of your crew being stolen then open fire. Nothing fancy necessary, though keep an eye on your Hull after one uses Lunge. Its other moves are meh; Lunge really smarts.
Bat-SwarmLife: 20Location: North of LondonAttacks:- Seek- Swarm! - Reduces Crew by one.- Disperse - Greatly reduces Illumination.Rewards:- Record any Observations- Gather up the corpses - Gain 1 Supplies- Dispose of the corpses - Reduces terrorThe Bat-Swarm is a relatively low-level scourge, and is only problematic if you give it too much time to set up. Seek or send out a few Flares, then blow it out of the sky with a few low-power salvos from your guns. Lorn-FlukeLife: 500Attacks:- Seek- Malice - Increases Illumination and Terror damage.- Hypothesise - Deals Illumination, Terror, and Hull damage.- Smell Fear - Deals Illumination when Terror is high.- Desolation - Reduces Crew by one, deals Terror damage, adds FragmentsRewards:- Record any Observations - Examine its corpse - A tough Pages challenge. Completing it successfully will earn you 1 Collosal Fluke-Core and 3 Secrets; The Lorn-Fluke is a powerful foe.
Though it seldom does much damage to your vessel directly, it's an expert at driving your crew batty with Terror. Try to avoid these monstrosities until you have some powerful guns. You can potentially bribe a Lorn-Fluke to leave you alone via Secrets, but it will demand a variable number of secrets before it leaves you in peace. Pirate Steam-PinnaceHull: 25Crew: 5Location: Northern Fallen LondonAttacks:- Seek- Salvo - Deals Hull damage.- Flares - Deals Illumination damage.- Devastating Salvo - Deals Hull damage.Rewards:- Loot and scuttle her - 1 A Cache of Curiosities- Record any Observations - Send her home with a prize crew - 1 To the Victor, Go the Spoils if successful; lose a variable number of Crew permanently if not.The Steam-Pinnace is basically a sloppy version of your starting vessel.
It can take barely any damage before going down. Get it lit up quickly and launch a Salvo or two to wipe it out before it can bring its guns to bear. It can do a lot of damage if given a chance. LifebergLife: 100Location: North of VenderbightAttacks:- Seek- Smell Fear - Inflicts Illumination damage.- Crush - Inflicts Hull damage.Rewards:- What remains? - 1 Zee-ztory, 1 Cache of Curiosities- Record any Observations -The Lifeberg is a basic beast. It spends its turns Seeking you out and moving ever closer, not attacking until it gets Illumination up to 75.
Once it does it will use Crush, a Hull-smashing attack that will absolutely maul all but the strongest of vessels. It won't hide or move away, so alternate between evasion and Seek / Flares to get a bead on it, then fire. It's not terribly tough—you just don't want to get caught in its path. Albino MorayLife: 100Location: Northeast of Demeaux IslandAttacks:- Seek- Snatch - Reduces Crew by one.- Appalling Cry - Inflicts Terror damage.- Lunge - Inflicts Hull damage.Rewards:- Butcher it - 1 Hunting Trophy, An Unprepossessing Mass- Record any Observations- Dissect it - Pages challenge. 1 Hunting Trophy, 10 Fragments if successful. 2 Terror and 5 Fragments if unsuccessful.Albino Morays are fairly standard beasts that roam the seas to the north of Demeaux Island almost exclusively. They're appropriately tough, but with a second-tier cannon of any description, you shouldn't have too much trouble.
Keep your Illumination low and their attacks will seldom land. Unfinished PiratesHull: 75Crew: 15Location: South of Fallen LondonAttacks:- Seek- Flares - Deals Illumination damage.- Salvo - Deals Hull damage.- Devastating Salvo - Deals Hull damage.Reward:- Investigate the hold - A Cache of Curiosities- Record any ObservationsUnfinished Pirates are the bane of anyone who strays just a little too far south upon starting the game. They can quickly finish off your ship if you don't get away. Once you're riding around in a slightly beefier vessel they're not nearly so painful to destroy, particularly if you go after the Crew rather than the Hull. Some indie studios are intentionally adding easy-to-unlock trophies to their games in order to boost sales and raise funding for further projects.Talking to, Infinite Madaa's Salem Al-Ghanim - the developer behind cross-play enabled Little Adventure on the Prairie, which released on the PlayStation 4 and Vita in February - said that he was advised to include an easy Platinum 'with a cheap price' and cross-play to secure enough sales to reinvest funds into the studio's next game. Infinite Madaa's Little Adventure on the Prairie'A friend of mine suggested to release the game on PS4 and Vita and add an easy Platinum to it with a cheap price,' said Al-Ghanim, after deciding to port his game from Android. 'This way a lot of people buy it and we would get the funding we need for our next game.' Al-Ghanim went on to explain that the only requirement to include a platinum trophy was to ensure the game had enough bronze, silver, and gold offerings, too. So that's what he did; though boasting 22 trophies (six bronze, eight silver, seven gold, and a platinum), Little Adventure on the Prairie is very short, but the full complement of trophies are achievable within half an hour, all unlocking as you naturally progress through the game. While not all players are happy - 'This is an absolute joke of a game.
Shame on Sony for allowing this trash on the PS Store', said - most seemed willing enough to pick up the game to secure a Platinum trophy.' Got the platinum in 20 minutes so can't really complain at £1.29,'.
